Our work at a glance

For more than 10 years, our research has built the evidence to improve sexual and reproductive health care for women and girls in Botswana. We work with the Ministry of Health and partners to turn that evidence into better policy and practice.

Who we are

The Botswana Sexual and Reproductive Health Initiative was established in 2016 to answer important research questions that improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes for women and adolescent girls.

We conduct research, provide clinical sexual and reproductive health and HIV services, and teach and train health workers. We also give technical and advisory support to the Botswana Ministry of Health and to regional and international organisations.
